How rewards are calculated
Understand exactly how license split, eligible task completions, and uptime impact your payout each period.
- 1
Step 1:Your license split defines how rewards are shared between you and the club.
- 2
Step 2:Completed eligible tasks generate reward events in the app period.
- 3
Step 3:Uptime, task availability, task type, location, type of connection, number of phones on the same connection and other factors can impact your rewards.
- 4
Step 4:Your operator percentage (for example, 70%) is then applied to those eligible reward events to calculate your payout.
Frequently asked questions
How do I claim a Unity operator license?⌄
Install the app, copy a claim code from this page, and paste it in the app license claim field.
How are rewards split?⌄
A split like 70/30 means 70% goes to you as the operator and 30% to Unity Nodes Club.
What minimum uptime is expected?⌄
Keep the app active and your device online for at least 50% uptime unless noted otherwise.
Is the Unity App safe?⌄
The Unity app does not collect any personal or identifying information from you. The system only records technical data needed to verify network activity and issue rewards (such as quality metrics and anonymized device performance statistics). Unity is GDPR compliant, and no names, addresses, phone numbers, or other personally identifiable details are collected or stored.
How much can you earn with the Unity App?⌄
Earnings vary by license split, task availability, uptime, and region-specific network demand. You can expect around 0.20 to 0.40 UPS per day for running the app in the background. Each active task can earn more, typically from 0.2 to 2 UPS (1 UPS = 1 USD).
Does the Unity App drain battery or data?⌄
The Unity App is lightweight and is not CPU- or RAM-intensive. It is designed to run on most Android and iOS smartphones.
Can I run more than one Unity App License on a single phone?⌄
No. While you can operate multiple Unity App Licenses from one phone, only one Unity License can be actively operated per device.
Is there a Unity License Operator (ULO) guide?⌄
The ULO Handbook is now live. It covers app download, license claim, network tasks, and incentives. Unity License Operator Handbook
Unity App, Unity Node, ULO, and UNO — what is the difference?
Unity App
the mobile app that enables participation from your personal device.
Unity Node
the backend infrastructure layer that routes and processes network tasks.
ULO (Unity License Operator)
a user operating an active Unity App license.
UNO (Unity Node Operator)
an operator who owns a Unity Node and lease its associated licenses.

During routine monitoring, Unity found operators running large numbers of synthetic devices (VPNs, emulators, and clustered /24 IP ranges). These accounts reduced network quality and commercial value. Unity has addressed those accounts, and reward distribution is now recalibrating toward genuine operators.
Synthetic activity hurts trust in the network. When partners detect fake devices, confidence drops. Protecting network integrity helps protect long-term rewards for real operators.
There is no hard limit on how many devices you can run from one IP range. But if devices are judged synthetic, tasks and rewards may be limited. To maximize reward potential, use real phones and generally keep around 10 to 20 devices per subnet.
As recalibration continues, tasks should flow back to legitimate ULOs. Existing telemetry tasks continue as normal. Unity is also preparing additional task types, including Scout & Runner plus more WiFi and SIM-powered tasks.
Unity continues to improve the app experience and is preparing web-based management platforms. More releases are planned for March, April, and beyond.
